Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Spirit Meditations looks after your personal data when you visit spiritmeditations.online or enrol in one of our courses. We keep what we collect to a quiet minimum and treat it with care.

1. Data controller

The controller responsible for your personal data is:

  • Sole Trader Chiara Colognola, trading as Spirit Meditations
  • No.433, 1F, Xiyuan Road, Xindian District, New Taipei City 23157, Taiwan
  • hello@spiritmeditations.online

We are based in Taiwan and operate the Studio from there.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Studio and deliver your courses:

  • Account and enrolment data — your name and email address, and the courses you have access to.
  • Payment data — handled by Paddle (see below). We receive confirmation of your purchase and limited billing details such as country and the last digits or card type, but we do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Communications — messages you send us and our replies.
  • Technical and usage data — for example IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed, collected through hosting logs. We load no analytics and set no tracking cookies; if that changes we will ask for your consent first.

3. Why we use it and our legal bases

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract — to give you access to the courses you buy and provide support.
  • Legal obligation — to keep tax, accounting and transaction records.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and improve our courses, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent — for any optional marketing emails, and for analytics cookies should we ever introduce them; you can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Payments

Paddle.com Market Limited acts as our Merchant of Record and payment processor. When you buy a course, Paddle processes your payment as an independent controller of the payment data it needs, and as our processor for the order information it shares back with us. Paddle's own privacy notice governs its handling of your card and billing data.

5. Service providers

We share personal data only with trusted providers who help us run the Studio, under appropriate data-protection terms:

  • Paddle — payments, billing, taxes and fraud prevention.
  • Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery and security.
  • Our email provider — to send account, course and support emails.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Because we operate from Taiwan and our providers may process data in other countries, your personal data may be transferred outside your home country, including outside the EEA and UK. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent measures offered by our providers.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enrolment and account data for as long as you have access to a course and for a reasonable period afterwards. Transaction and tax records are kept for the period required by law. Analytics data is retained for a limited period, and support messages only as long as needed to help you and keep our records.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct or delete it;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • request a portable copy of data you provided;
  • withdraw consent where we rely on it.

To exercise any of these, write to hello@spiritmeditations.online. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to run the site and, with your consent, to understand how it is used. You can read more and manage your choices in our Cookie Policy.
